Project Manager/Estimator: This position is for an experienced Site Construction Estimator/ Project Manager. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting or Business Management and at least 3 years experience, or no degree and at least 10 years experience.

Heavy Equipment Operator I: At least three years experience operation equipment such as skid loaders, Rubber Tire Front end Loaders, Track loaders, rollers/compactors, trench rollers, Tampers and other small equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Maintain Daily equipment log
• Work directly for the site foreman to complete assigned tasks efficiently and within production deadlines.
• Care in the use and operation of corporate equipment, including daily interior cleaning and a weekly washing at the shop, e.g. track cleaning
• At the end of each day must put equipment(s) together in a neat and orderly fashion as directed by the
Heavy Equipment Operator II: This Position requires all of the above experience but must also include the ability to operate precisely and with skill Backhoes, mini and large excavators and attachments. Safe and skillful use of heavy machinery needed to prepare excavation of Site for Utilities installation includes water sewer and storm drain. \

• Care in the use and operation of corporate equipment, including daily interior cleaning and a weekly washing at the shop, e.g. track cleaning
• At the end of each day must put equipment(s) together in a neat and orderly fashion as directed by the
Forman: Pipe Foreman and Grading Forman positions available: Responsible for the oversight of daily tasks for a work crew on the job site. Managing your crew means taking responsibility for accomplishing the task at hand while ensuring the safety of your crew, at the same time keeping time and cost in perspective. Must be capable of looking ahead into the job and meeting with superintend on progress and supplies needed. Responsible for conducting safety tool box talks and insuring safety standard are being met thought the day to day operations. Both Positions require at least 3 years of continual experience as a Forman and the following skills;
• Must have strong communication skills
• The ability to truly organize the job means looking ahead to the future days work and assuring everything is scheduled as it should be.
• Know how to read scales, stakes, cut sheets and blueprints
• Experience in pipe crew management (at least 3 years experience)
• Work directly with Superintendent to establish, monitor and achieve profitability for each project
• Must be able to communicate focused goals to grounds men, operators, pipe layer
• Work with HR to hire permanent and temporary staff, as well handle on going human resource issues. Document performance issues and have employees sign the counseling form’s in a timely manner.
• Support positive team attitude with field and corporate staff Communicate with clients, engineers, inspectors and surveyors in a professional respectful manner. You represent Wheeler Construction in the Field and will be with held to high standards of conduct.
• Responsible for receiving, checking valid delivery of materials in the field and singing for them
• Having and Maintain a satisfactory driving record is a must. Pipe Layer: Must Possess the ability to assemble and aligning pipe products to include sewer, water, and storm drain. Additionally, qualified applicants must be able to communicate effectively with the pipe Forman in order to achieve daily tasks, assemble protection fencing and lift 50 pounds. Job Skills should also include experienced knowledge of laser set –up, lay on grade via laser.
Grounds Man/Laborer: Operation of small equipment to include but not limited to tampers, jumping jacks, and rollers. Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. General knowledge of gas powered equipment is preferred. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
• Silt fence installation
• General Clean up of site
• Clean curbs and pipes
• Pickup trash
• Set /drive stakes
• Use of hand tools (rakes, shovels, picks, trowels, etc.)
Roll-Off Driver: This position is for an experienced roll-off driver. All applicants must have a clean driving record and the ability to pass the DOT Physical including drug screen. This position requires strong work ethic and customer relation skills. A good knowledge of Anne Arundel and surrounding counties is preferred.
Qualified applicants should:
• Have a Maryland CDL Class A (preferably)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
